Educ512 Digitals Natives
Wow, I think I just blew a gasket!!! I am in for a big change when I start teaching. I have really been gripping about this class because I have to work that much harder to just try and stay a float. I thought I had an average understanding of computers and the power they poses, but I am kinda overwhelmed by everything that is being thrown at me. I really have to agree with everything the article said because I feel I will be the dinosaur in the classroom trying to teach a bunch of tech savvy students. As the weak ink in this class I really feel the sting of being out of touch, but one thing I have always been able to do is adapt to the changing conditions. I think that with a classroom full of high tech students that not only can the teach me things, but how can I use them to help the class. I really feel that learning comes down to how I present myself to them. I bring a lot of substance to being able to work in the real word. Being a teacher in the High Desert where the aide level is over 40% that I might have a pretty good chance to help these kids succeed by keeping them interested in the how to rather then the ask.com

This is very insightful, Francis, though not entirely accurate. I think you have adapted very well. Most important is your willingness to learn! When it comes to the articles, remember, we are all teachers and all learners. I always tell/told my students this regardless of age. I have always learned from my students! You will have much to give your students.
