"Doing final editing of Webquest and getting ready to publish it"

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

"As I am working on this Webquest I realize that it is very difficult to put together an assignment for students when I haven't ever had my own class of students. I am at a disadvantage since I have never had to develop lesson plans which is frustrating to me because it feels like it takes me longer to accomplish these items."

Well I have had every intention to get some work done on this WQ, but between chores and college football I think I am going to call it a night. My wife tells me well just turn it off. Like that is possible. I think I'll blame it on my parents for not giving me any discipline on study habits. I'll call my mom in the morning and ask her about this problem I have. What to do? And I have to jump into my Spiritual timeline and there is football on the next two days. Dang it

After all of the web quest info I've been compiling I feel like now I'm over whelmed by all of it. I should have just spent my time doing just one lesson every night, but I am just so tired when I get home from work. I just want some time to relax and watch some T.V. time management is my problem.
The title of my WebQuest is Primed for Performance: Fuel Your Body to the Next level. It focus' on sports nutrition for the high school athlete. So far I have compiled resources and come up with the introduction, task, process, and conclusion. Today I inserted pictures into the document and did some editing. Hope this is what I'm suppose to be doing and I am learning a lot about this project.

Educ512 Digitals Natives

Wow, I think I just blew a gasket!!! I am in for a big change when I start teaching. I have really been gripping about this class because I have to work that much harder to just try and stay a float. I thought I had an average understanding of computers and the power they poses, but I am kinda overwhelmed by everything that is being thrown at me. I really have to agree with everything the article said because I feel I will be the dinosaur in the classroom trying to teach a bunch of tech savvy students. As the weak ink in this class I really feel the sting of being out of touch, but one thing I have always been able to do is adapt to the changing conditions. I think that with a classroom full of high tech students that not only can the teach me things, but how can I use them to help the class. I really feel that learning comes down to how I present myself to them. I bring a lot of substance to being able to work in the real word. Being a teacher in the High Desert where the aide level is over 40% that I might have a pretty good chance to help these kids succeed by keeping them interested in the how to rather then the ask.com

Educ512 copyright

I just took the copyright quiz and scored a 71. I couldn't believe what a complicated issue this was. I have heard about it on the news over the years, but never really paid much attention to it. After seeing how much technology has advanced and how anyone with a computer, Ipod or or other device that can record, rip info from the internet can be disregarding the Copy Right laws. I really wonder how much is happening in the classroom that the teacher or students just don't know. I think there should be a Copy Right Bill or Rights posted in every classroom as well as every computer class teacher should be giving advice to the school staff. I think I will be in a world of hurt by the time I start teaching on a very blurry tech atmosphere. This is a topic that should be discussed by all districts and teacher. Very interesting. I enjoyed the article and the questions from the quiz.
